The accident rate of the tanker fleet today remains quite high, despite the implemented design solutions aimed at improving safety. Most accidents occur as a result of operational errors of crew responsible for cargo loading unloading operations. The simulators of cargo handling are main tools for training the crew of tankers to handle their functions safely and effectively.
The simulator is designed to train students about tanker systems as part of standard IMO courses:
- 2.06 – Cargo handling simulator
- 1.01 – Introductory tanker training course
- 1.02 – Special training program for work on oil tankers
- 1.04 – Special training program for work on chemical tankers
- 1.06 – Special training program for work on LNG tankers
The study of the tanker device, the composition of its technical means and systems System and unit management training.
Studying the device and operation of the parameter monitoring system and the alarm system.
Training in the correct execution of technological operations and the skills of making competent decisions in normal and emergency operating conditions.
It surpasses in accuracy the models used in simulators of other manufacturers due to 2D modeling of processes in tanks and two-phase flow of a multicomponent medium through pipes. The mathematical model used allows us to accelerate these processes in order to reduce the time of classes, without violating the physical behavior of objects.

In the simulator all technical sections based on real objects of the ship’s systems, which demonstrate the basic principles of their operation. The main units are made in sections individual nodes are shown. Computer animation is used to display current processes. The animated interface simulates a two-level control system used on board real ships.
